Rev. Christine Beitzel

Rev. Christine Beitzel came to Pastor with us July of 2008.  she is a graduate of Fuller Seminary and has served several churches in southern California as well as in hospital and hospice chaplaincy.  She says,

“It is a privilege and joy to come alongside this wonderful community of believers.  Together we worship and serve our Lord Jesus and care for each other in his name.  In both the scriptures and prayer we are growing together as the Spirit leads.  Our mission outreach makes a difference and the music, fellowship, laughter and caring make us a joyful family.  Come worship the Lord with us.”

Pastor Chris, as she is known, is married to a bonafide rocket scientist.  They have 5 grown children and a few grandchildren too.  She loves to hike in the mountains, a variety of music, the arts, literature and people.

 

Cindy Buschagen, Secretary

Cindy is currently serving as the congregation’s secretary, a position she has held since November of 2008.  Cindy grew up in Minnesota.  She is married to her husband, John, whom she met while attending Gustavus.  Together they are parents to their two sons, Jeff, who lives with his wife, Audra, in Scarborough, Maine, and Matthew, who lives with his fiancee’, Emily in Port Orchard, Washington.  Cindy enjoys music, reading, walking, and swimming.

 

 

Jonie Jordan, Director of Music

Jonie is a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lakewood.  She was baptized, confirmed and married here.  She and her husband of 35 years, Dan, have three children who have also been baptized and confirmed in this church.  She received her Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Colorado in Boulder.  She was an elementary school music teacher with Denver Public Schools for 32 years.  She also directed the Carolers Choir (children’s choir) here at church for 25 years as well as sang with the Covenant Singers.  Jonie has directed the Covenant Singers since the fall of 2007 and has been the Director of Music since the spring of 2009.
